Khallice - Inside Your Head
Depois de editarem em 2003 o seu álbum de estreia “The Journey”, regressam agora, 5 anos mais tarde, os Khallice com um EP que servirá de aperitivo para o próximo álbum que aí vem. Para quem não os conhece, os Khallice são uma banda Brasileira de metal progressivo, na onda de Symphony X. Ou seja, voz agressiva com um fantástico alcance, riffs pesados e devastadores cheios de pinch harmonics, melodias infecciosas e um fantástico sentido musical.
Neste “Inside Your Head” a receita é a mesma, e os dois primeiros temas, “Inside Your Head” e “In The Fire”, comprovam-no na perfeição. A fantástica voz de Alírio Netto está sempre muito presente, e os já mencionados riffs são um dos pontos fortes desta banda. “Letting Go” e “Reasons”, não sendo tão explosivas, não deixam de ser peças fantásticas de metal progressivo, num EP que termina como começou, a grande velocidade (sem excessos), na magnífica “I Share a Little of Something”.
Em suma, depois do que ouvi nestas cinco músicas, fiquei com enorme curiosidade para ouvir o trabalho que aí vem destes brasileiros. Por enquanto, este “Inside Your Head” servirá na perfeição para acalmar a curiosidade.
Khallice - Inside Your Head
After their debut album in 2003 “The Journey”, here we have, 5 years later, the return of Khallice with an EP that will work as a demonstrative demo for the band’s next album. For those who don’t know them, Khallice is a Brazilian progressive metal band, in the vein of Symphony X. This means an aggressive voice with an amazing range, heavy and devastating riffs filled with pinch harmonics, catchy tunes and a fantastic musical sense.
In this “Inside Your Head” the recipe is the same, and the first two songs, “Inside Your Head” and “In the Fire”, prove it perfectly. The fantastic voice of Alírio Netto is always present, and the already mentioned riffs are one of the strong points in this band. “Letting Go” and “Reasons”, although not as demolishing as the first ones, are amazing pieces of progressive metal, in an EP that ends in the same way it has started, at high speed (without extremes), with the great “I Share a Little of Something”.
To conclude, after what I heard in these five songs, I can’t wait to hear the upcoming album from these Brazilians. For now, this “Inside You Head” will work perfectly to ease up the curiosity.
